Since it was the first meeting of the new year, the minutes were bypassed.
Beth Bosmans gave the treasurer’s report. Information on moneys spent and taken in for the Kid’s Craft Fair. Also on the success of the event….such as good turn out, Christmas cup candles being the favorite craft item. Beth suggested that Rozanne, the face painting lady be paid for advertising the Craft Fair. A motion was made and passed regarding this suggestion. Our end of year balance was the same as last year. (See treasurer’s report for exact amounts).
Beth also told us about the City of Minden putting a sign up across 395 for CVAA Shows (also in Gardnerville) plus the idea to have a band or bands play in Minden Park during the Art Shows. This was greeted with positive remarks.
It was recommended that CVAA donate $100 to Douglas High School Band for their trip to Washington D.C. for Inaugural Parade. Motion passed.
Ginger Rose is to be our January Demo guest.
New officers will be inducted at the January meeting. Mechelle reported that she would not be able to conduct her presidential duties from Feb 7th through March as she will be house sitting for her relative in _______Springs, something that has been in the works for a year and cannot get out of. Vice-President Mary Sandhagen will be in charge.
Names for a workshop were suggested: Cathy Quiel, Jack Shields, Margaret Biggs, Suni Style.
The next Board meeting will be at the East Fork Gallery at l0:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3rd.

Respectfully submitted by
