6-24-05 Luverne Lightfoot gave a
CVAA demonstration on
the importance of good value structure in portrait painting. She
used 3 to 5 values to establish the face.
The recipient of numerous awards, her
works hang in collections throughout the United States and abroad. Painting
a variety of subject matter, her love for the human race makes portraiture
a favorite.
Her passion for fine art has inspired her to become involved as a
teacher of oil and pastel painting. She instructs workshops &
demonstrates for various art organizations. Nevada Museum of Art is
currently her venue for teaching.

Luverne says, "Life & art are brought to a oneness by
brush strokes expressing a very personal point of view. My joy in
painting consists of constant experimentation and learning.
Luverne Lightfoot does traditional oil and pastel paintings
